Open Projects and Apps supports elementary and secondary level STEM education by connecting mentors from the local community, workplace, higher educational institutions, and professional organizations to grade level students.

Learn the basics of programming with a computer that fits in the palm of your hand!
In this 12 week course the students will learn how to apply grade level math and
science in simulated real world projects. Each project utilizes a sample set of applications of Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) concepts. Project based learning methods are used in a lab
environment. Students demonstrate their finished projects to an audience at the monthly open house.

Become a FIRST® LEGO® League mentor, Serve as a STEM volunteer, High-School students - Build hands-on experience through our Regional Occupational Program-Career Technical Education (ROP-CTE) programs, Explore exciting educational and career opportunities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Parents - Encourage your children to become future engineers and scientists! Teachers - sharpen your professional tools by attending our It Works! Workshops.
ORACS is part of the OC STEM and Art Showcase organized by VitalLinks. This Orange County based event involves K - 16 student population to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, and Soft skills (STEAMS) educational and career pathways and STEAMS experience and knowledge sharing among students.
FLL is excited to release the 2013 Challenge NATURE'S FURY!
Coming August 2013, Nature's Fury asks FIRST® LEGO® League teams to "master natural disasters" through exploration of storms, quakes, waves, and more.
Teams will discover what can be done when intense natural events meet the places people live, work, and play.
Teams will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® to solve a set of missions on an obstacle course. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under FLL's signature set of Core Values.
